| The ZI-9 iz our best selling scooterbike with modern smart styling and
high tech motor system selling to any ages from 14 to 85. They are a great
learning tool for younger riders from 14, thinking of petrol scooters later
as they can be used on cycle tracks as well as roads helping gain road sense
before using faster machines.
EABS CPU MOTOR a 200watt brush less cpu motor has 32%-55% more power than standard brush less motors and has an inverted 3 phase ac supply from the control unit along with an electronic winding selector for greater efficiency. 48 VOLTS SUPPLY has less volts drop under load giving several advantages over 36volts. 1/ The drain speed on the battery is slower so it maintains a high amp hour rating giving greater range per amp hour. 2/ Less wear and tear on the battery drawing less current. 3/ Faster take off speed because of higher voltage under heavy load. 4/ Wiring is lighter because of less current drain. EABS ELECTRICALY ASSISTED BRAKING SYSTEM. With the front brake applied
lightly the rear wheel motor slows the scooterbike down electrically and
puts power back into the battery. With the front brake fully on both the
rear electric brake and front caliper brake stop the bike. The rear band
brake is still operated from left side if needed. Top speed 15mph or US
setting 20mph. DOUBLE RIDER is possible on both the ZI-6 and ZI-9 with additional rear foot pegs (rule 53 of the UK highway code) for one adult and a child with maximum total advisable weight of 18 stone. THE BATTERIES are 4 x 12volt 12amp S.L.A. (sealed lead acid) mounted in the floor for better handling. They do not need topping up and will not leak at any angle unless they are dropped, smashed or the wrong charger is used. They have no memory effect and can be fully or part charged during daily use. They do not have to be flattened and in fact the more often they are topped up the longer the life. If they are not going to be used for long periods they must be left fully charged. They must never be left for more than 60 days before re charging. This is the most common battery used on e bikes as they are cheap to replace and are readily available from us, your retailer or most electronic stores like Maplin Electronics. They are not gel because gel batteries have a shorter life span. The batteries can be charged on or off the bike (if you have no power in your garage), with the easily removable, lockable, battery pack. THE CHARGER supplied with the bike will charge the batteries from flat
to 90 to 95% in 6 to 8 hours on the red fast charge light and the remaining
5 to 10% on green in a couple more hours. If the battery is half flat
when charged the charger will automatically know and put half a charge
in. A FREE RAIN COVER is supplied with this bike and must be used when left standing in rain to remain under warranty which is 12 months on the bike and 6 months on the battery. |
